The Rating System by Ryan Berger

First and foremost I would like to say thank you to BTAM for allowing me this guest post.  It is truly an honor and a privilege to write amongst one of the greatest writers of all time BTAM himself.

Now on to the topic of the day.  “The Rating System”  I am not referring to a movie rating system I am talking about The Hot Scale.  1 through 10.  1 being an absolute dog and 10 being a supermodel.  Now I know what you are probably thinking.  Who uses the rating system anymore or what a self-centered person using a scale to describe a human being? You do, I do, we all do. Don’t lie to yourself now! The hot scale is an amazing quick reference guide to how attractive someone is and can be used in many conversations. 

Phone Conversation with BTAM:

Me -  Hey BTAM

BTAM – Hello – (Let’s spice it up)

Me – How’s the blog coming along?

BTAM – Great actually. Just hit 10k pageviews today.

Me –  Stop lying. You know Nan and I are the only ones who read it on the reg.

BTAM – Yeah, I know.

Me – Wow, BTAM this smoking hot girl just walked by

BTAM – What is she?

Me – I would say a 9 or 9.5

BTAM – Wow that’s great! Now go get her number. Show her your ears, she won’t be able to resist.

From the above conversation BTAM immediately knows exactly how attractive the mystery girl who walked in front of me is. 

The hot scale rating system takes into account all different aspects of life.  It is very heavily weighted on looks of course but it does take into account a couple other factors.  

The rating factors in both face and body. (Ladies, don’t get on your high horse right now, because you do the same things as guys, to an extent). A girl or guy could have a knock out 10 body but not the most aesthetically pleasing face and vice versa. This person would probably level out at 7. I know it sounds a little mean but I am just being honest.  Also if you are a famous athlete or celebrity the hot scale kind of goes out the window.  For example if Andy Murray was not 4 in the world in tennis he would never have a chance with any lady.  But he is and therefore has a lady too good for his dull, smug British demeanor.  Personality also can help increase your score but sadly probably only helps the scoring by a pt or two at best. 

Myself – 7.5 

The reason for the eight is from other people telling me this or it could come from my perfect pin backed ears and amazing quads and dimples.  I have also been told my butt is amazing and yes it is my best ASSet.    With all those great qualities your probably thinking how is this guy not a 10.  Well I do have squinty eyes and a rather large nose (thanks Dad)

We all have our own rating scale and find this or that attractive in others, so I will let you come up with your own scoring system.  That being said, if you don’t have a way of numerically judging others, get on it. You’re way behind!

Oh and since I all know you were curious about the mystery lady and if I did get her number or not the answer is…….Definitely, Maybe. (Great film btw)
