Setting Low Expectations: The Key to feeling good

If you think I’m wrong, try it for a week. Yes, I insist, do it for a week.

BTAM Goals for last week:

1) Go to work for 5 days- Did I say get X, Y, Z accomplished? No. Easily attainable goal, check plus for me on this one.

2) Exercise once this week - Excuuuse me, I exercised twice this week. Exceeding goal. We’ll save that in the “extras’ bucket and use it when another goal isn’t accomplished.

3) Call my mom twice - Doubled up on that one, definitely gave her a quartet of calls. That’s a great effort on my part, if I do say so myself. Kudos to you Brad, kudos!

4) Don’t get a felony - Well done on this one. Obviously had a few close calls but I’m unscathed (JOKE!).

4 Goals, nothing fancy, just quite attainable. How do I feel on this Saturday?

Absolutely top notch! All my goals passed beyond a shadow of a doubt.

How do you feel right now achieving your lofty goals for this week? I would venture to guess pretty awful. You most likely achieved 1.5 of your 4 goals.

So stop reaching for the leaves at the top of a Redwood and go for a leaf from a baby Fern instead.

Alright I’m about to go out and do mediocre things for the rest of the day and continue to check off the list!

A man of my own heart, Peter Griffin sets utterly low expectations.

Peace and love,

Brad
